Established in 1801, the main campus 614 acres is situated about 60 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, there are over 33,878 students.

Rhode Island

 

The University of Rhode Island

Location: Kingston, Rhode Island

The college Rhode Island State College  became the University of Rhode Island in 1951 and now has a total of 14,000 students based on the main campus located in Kingston and the three other campuses located throughout the state.

Virginia

George Mason University

Location: Fairfax, Virginia

Beginning as a branch of the University of Virginia, George Mason became a University in 1957, with over 28,000 students enrolled in 2003 and its main Fairfield Campus of 677 acres based in Fairfax, North Virginia.
