Our Partnership with Jindal Global University

The School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences is well-established as a global leader in teaching, research and training. Being amongst one of the first psychology departments to open its doors in the UK, we have an extensive and distinguished history that can be traced all the way back to 1921.

The School has an exceptional research impact, with 100% of its research being classified as ‘outstanding’ or ‘very considerable’ in the Research Excellence Framework 2021. By choosing to study with us, you will gain all of the in-depth knowledge necessary to excel within your chosen programme, whilst also having the opportunity to learn from the best internationally recognised research and teaching staff.

Double Master’s programme

The University of Reading (UoR) and the Jindal Global University (JGU) have partnered to develop an innovative Double Master’s programme in MSc Theory and Practice in Clinical Psychology (with Research Placement) and MSc Language Sciences. 

Upon the successful completion of a Master’s in Applied Psychology at JGU, and subject to receiving admission to UoR, students will be able to transfer to Reading, in order to complete one of the two chosen programmes.

Students will be able to receive a master’s degree from each institution once they complete all two years with both universities.

Entry requirements

  • Successfully complete the one-year Masters in Applied Psychology at JGU
  • Have an English language IELTS score of 7.0 overall with no element less than 6.5.

Fees

  • A 10% discount will apply on MSc Theory and Practice in Clinical Psychology (with Research Placement) and MSc Language Sciences.
  • A 20% discount for students considering PhD study at PCLS.

Our award-winning students' union runs over 150 clubs, societies and volunteering activities. In addition, you will have access to the extensive sports facilities on offer. 

The University is within walking distance to the town centre and there are also regular buses from campus.
